Peapack-Gladstone Mural

Someone saw the "Dale's Market" mural I painted and wanted the same look on a 54' wide x 17' high stucco wall on the side of their bank in Bridgewater, New Jersey. I had moved to Colorado at this point so I started planning and figured I could go out and do it in 3 weeks on my vacation time.

I made and mailed out a scaled color sketch.

The sketch was approved and because of the height of the wall, I needed scaffolding. I sketched it on the wall with charcoal and a projector at night...

.......and began working every daylight hour I had.

I put my brother in it playing the tuba....

and my daughter....

It rained a few times but I had to keep going so I rigged up a shelter with some plastic.

There was a metal door in the wall which was transformed also.

And here it is...

There are different things going on in all the windows...

Here my son is trying to pet the dog...

...and this is where I signed it.

That was the biggest mural I painted by myself, back home to Colorado!
